Dear the Ward Directory,
You want to make yourself, right? I give you the freedom to do so.
Love,
Naazju

So excited!
I get to visit my family on Wednesday! And it'll be even better because a) I get to see Nathan for the first time since March 26, 2008 and b) because I get to spend 5 days straight with Clark. I can't wait. And I'll take tons of pictures, promise.

Covey Center Art Show
Becca and I were able to go to the Covey Center for the Arts on Center Street in Provo on Wednesday to see a show called "Ninety-Nine Most Beautiful Names" which you can read more about here. These are a few of the pieces.

My birthday!
This year, our ward closing social/Talent show was the night before my birthday. This meant that "we" "had" to come up with a "talent" to share. I was talked into performing "Reptilia" by the Strokes with Jon, Clark and Michelle. Here is a picture of us singing along to Tyler Potts, on the piano:

Afterward, I had some time to just hang out with my room-roommates, Michelle and Erin, and we had a great chat and I was gifted a cheese grater (which is AWESOME since that's been my want and need for over a year).

On Sunday, my actual birthday, I woke up early (a sin) and went to Clark's cousin's baby blessing. It was so special (it's been years since I've been in attendance for one) and, afterward, we were able to go to a family party and just enjoy the day.
When we got back to Provo, Clark and I had a reading party and, a little later, I decided I was going to make homemade tamales. While making those, his home teachers came by and gave me a "birthday brownie" which looked like this:
It was really good. :D
They sang to me while they handed it over. I was also sung to by the Potts family, my mom and brothers, the girls of apartment 210, Jessica Leatham, Nick Potts, Clinton Blanco and members of my ward at ward prayer. It was a very special day and I'm so grateful to all my friends who took the time to say hi or leave me a message or give me a hug.

University Band
Tuesday night was Clark's concert on campus. It was pretty interesting because the two groups participating had two different themes, A Night of British Music and A Night with Abraham Lincoln. :) Clark was part of the British Music end, which meant he could play timpani during the Robin Hood music. :) The other group had Dave Perry dressed up as Abraham Lincoln and he read the Gettysburg Address and several other things while the band played music from the era. I liked it a lot. :) And now, I'm going to listen to some Robin Hood!

Odd duck
I love movies and books. Truly. But sometimes I'd rather have the backstory than anything else. I love watching commentaries or extra features and those are actually usually the reason I'll buy the special edition of something. For example, I'm slowing acquiring all the Harry Potter movies all over again just so I can own the seven-part documentary series that they're including in the Ultimate Editions.
Sometimes it's more fun to know how something is made, don't you think?

Oh where, oh where can they be?
I'm always amazed at how quickly things can get misplaced.
Take, for instance, my slippers. An hour ago I was wearing them. Now I have no idea where they are. This is especially odd because I've been sitting at the computer for the last two hours. Also, there's only so much floor space available for them to wander off to. All I know is that they're not on my feet, under the desk that I'm currently typing at, next to my bed, or in their slot on the shoe-hanger thing.
So where the heck can they be?!

General Conference weekend!
I am really excited for General Conference this weekend! And I'm also excited that I get to hang out with the Earleys for each of the sessions. :)
