Silly Outtakes

I know I often share nice pictures here and on Facebook (not professional, and not perfect, but definitely nicer than normal). Just wanted you to see for yourself that for every decent shot I have, there are about two dozen ridiculous ones!

These pictures were taken because it was nice outside and the girls were fairly well-coordinated and their hair wasn't completely woebegone. (And, yes, Azucena is in shorts, because this fall has been unseasonably warm!)

(Second note, shortly after finishing taking these pictures, the boy had a poop-splosion on his outfit, and one of the girls broke my blue pendant necklace. Because, you know, kids. Eep.)

 I start with this shot, because the girls are old enough that I can *mostly* get them to look nice for a picture together. Like, 55% of the time. But, add another child, and you get these!

 

Fox Hat!

My friend Kelli runs an Etsy shop where she sells crocheted hats. They're adorable! Right before Christmas a won a free hat from her shop and I'm so excited! It's this gorgeous fox design that I just love. I had Aurora model it and as soon as I did, the other girls wanted to take fancy pictures, too. Here are my three munchkins being little goofballs.

(Clark tried to sneak into this one. I have three dorky daughters because I have a dorky husband. :D )

May the Fourth Be With You!

These pictures were taken at the Free Comic Book Day event in Idaho Falls but were a precursor to May the Fourth. :D It was so exciting to see a few folks from the 501st there and to get their pictures! (And, yes, Clark did go up to the guy on the right and say, "aren't you a little short to be a storm trooper?")

Whirlwind Weekend - Day 1

Last Friday, Clark left to hike King's Peak with a group that included his dad, Brady, and my dad! It was the first time I'd been left at home alone (well, besides every day when he goes to work). But it was different because I had to be alone with the girls at night.I wish I had pictures from his hike, but he didn't take a camera and I have yet to steal them from my dad.

Anywho . . .

So, Clark was gone and I had a long list of things that needed to get taken care of:

*shower

*bathe the children

*clean the bathrooms

*go grocery shopping

*get free Jamba Juices for the girls

*make dinner

*go to the library

*find out about our Ensign subscriptions at Deseret Book

However, while I took care of a few of these (library, Ensign, free smoothies, clean bathrooms), I got a phone call from my mom just before dinnertime to say that she was in Utah Valley, on her way up to our house to meet up with my dad so they could spend the weekend! The rest of the checklist promptly went out the window. Azucena was SO HAPPY to see Grandma and Grandpa! She loved climbing all over Grandpa and singing and reading with Grandma. Here are a few pictures from Sunday when we celebrated Peru's independence and visited Temple Square:

The setting sun was gorgeous on the temple. I wish we could post visuals on here, not just pictures.

Popcorn Popping

For those of you that missed my Facebook status:

"[Natalia] was doing dishes when she realized Azucena was eating popcorn. "That's funny," she thought. "The last time we made popcorn was last night. Where did she get popcorn from?" Then she went back to doing dishes. A moment later, she hears rustling behind her. Looking back, Azucena is reaching into the garbage can where there is a half-full bag of popcorn from last night.

To illustrate the point, here is a shot of our garbage can (notice that it's half buried under the empty box of Teddy Grahams). Yeesh.

Yup, she'd walk from that green high chair in the background to the garbage can, grab a handful or two of popcorn, walk back, sit down, and eat her popcorn until she ran out and repeat the process. Yeesh.

Adelaide's Trip to Colorado

                                               




Adelaide began her trip to Colorado by hiking up the Zapata Falls and promptly being lulled to sleep in her backpack carrier. Upon returning to the house, she had to enjoy a little time on the grass patch out front.




While everyone was helping make Grandma's front lawn look pretty, another nap was taken.

 When the cousins came to town, much time was spent with Abbigale.

 

Certain risks and more naps were taken.

 

Lots of sitting on people's laps.

Looking back on these pictures, I think that Adelaide has more pink outfits than Azucena ever had. (I guess that's what happens when you're the second child and you a) inherit everything and b) only get a few new items of clothing (because the probability is higher that you'll get pink).)

Landscaping

Mom needed some landscaping in the front yard taken care of and when is a better time than when your son-in-law is in town?

 

 

 

 

Snapshots

Just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my eldest baby so the interwebs can see. :D

Can't wait for this sassiness to resurface when she's a teenager.

Every time I saw her on Sunday, I thought she looked like a flapper. :D

Boxes

Azucena has a love of boxes. And not just playing in them--she loves sitting in them. She has a lot of fun when I actually take the time to unpack another box (they're your typical big box size and can easily fit our toddler) but she's also been crazy enough to cram herself into shoeboxes. This morning, I discovered she had found a mid-sized box (from where, I don't know) and decided that the tight fit wasn't good enough, she had to have your puppy friend in there, too!
