Getting Ready for Halloween!
Getting ready for holidays is always super entertaining. Usually there are some really fun activities to go along with them! This year, WalMart was having a special where, if your kid went in with their Halloween costume, they'd take a picture of them in front of a backdrop and give you a free print. Unfortunately, the guy that works layaway took forever to find out what was going on AND he just had a point and shoot which meant every shot was blurry because Azucena wouldn't stop wiggling. :D
We also visited the Donut place in Pocatello which has potato doughnuts (supposedly healthier for you) and are HUGE and delicious. I mean, look at my hand compared to that thing!
Our ward also had its Halloween party the week beforehand. They needed volunteers to decorate doors for it so I signed up and looked up ideas on the internet (of course) and really liked the ideas for Frankenstein and eyes in the dark so here are my renditions (I tried to make them a little softer, more cartoon-y, for the children). It was a milk can dinner and then there was trick or treating for the children, along with face painting and a couple of other activities for older children. :D
Last but not least was Kid's Free Jamba Day! I love when my kids can get free smoothies since they love them so much. Definitely worth driving around for!

Idaho Zoo Day
The Pocatello Zoo had a children's Halloween event the week before Halloween. We decided to take the girls to check it out. It's not the largest or fanciest zoo we've been to, but it was adorable and they had some fun stuff set up for the children. Azucena especially liked the tree house with the giant slide, the leaf pit, and the giant inflatable spider (whose kid IS she?!). Adelaide, conveniently enough, fell asleep halfway through our expedition. :D

10 Months Old
Wow, Adelaide, I cannot believe that you've been in our lives for ten months already! This past month has been a big one for you. On September 8th you got your first tooth and you were NOT happy. Sadly, the very next Sunday you got your second tooth, too! Then, as if you're not already grown up enough, your birthday gift to Grandpa was taking your very first step! You have yet to take more than three steps in a row by yourself but you're solid at standing and cruising and every so often you still try to go out by yourself.
You still love your sister to pieces. You adore her. You always want to be with her. You love playing with her. You want to do what she is doing, which isn't always possible but is fun to watch. :)
What a big girl you are. I'm so happy with all that you're learning. I love you.
