New Cousins

Azucena has been blessed to have three second cousins born in the last couple of months. I keep forgetting to get pictures of the girl cousins (sorry McKenzie and Masie!), but this is Azucena meeting little Anthony Diaz.

(This face is absolutely priceless. Really truly!)

Baby Elyse

The day before my birthday (yes, this is a late post), my sister had her baby girl! Elyse Aladana was born at 1:25 a.m. weighing 7 lbs 11 oz. Clark and I were able to go up later that week (Thursday night) and hang out for Easter weekend. Here are a few pictures of the little cutie with two of her uncles:

Let's Take a Vote

Everyone who thinks my nephew is in desperate need of a haircut, please raise your hand:

::nods:: That's what I thought. :)

A New Generation!

I just found out that the next generation has come along! If we count my grandparents as the grandparents, (we usually go by my great-grandfather, but that reference has been shifting in the last few years, now that there are so many of us on the bottom half of the generation pool), then the very first great-great-grandchild was just born! I hear she's a beautiful baby girl and I can't wait to see pictures of my cousin twice removed!

But in the future . . .

Mother Worry #Who-Knows:
My three-year-old daughter will not be able to keep anything down and I'll panic. Like I am right now.

Babies

Today our friend Katrina came over to our apartment with her two daughters (one is two and the other not quite three months). It always makes me just a little depressed that I don't get to interact with babies as often as I would like to. Unfortunately, I'd love to interact with babies pretty much 24/7, which is why vacations to CO are pretty much the best: I just steal my niece or nephew for the entire day (or, at least, until my sister insists that I give 'em back) and I'm happy. Yeah, I'll edit this post later to make it longer. . .

More pictures of my adorable nephew

I like his hat. It's the one the hospital gave to him!

Nicoel was holding him trying to get him to relax and he started to stick his tongue out. What a cutie!

My brand new nephew

This will most likely be the shortest entry ever. I'm hanging out at my sister's apartment and my niece and nephew. That's right, little Christopher James Bonney was born July 3rd at 3:11 pm. *sigh* I missed his birth by about 6 hours, which is better than missing it completely from the other end of the journey.
Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I'll leave a few to make this feel longer.

My sister is crazy

So I called my sister to check the weather in CO today and found out that she had been having contractions all morning. For some crazy reason she was still at home trying to "bear the pain" and hadn't even told her husband. I spent about an hour panicking that she was going to sit out most of the labor pains while at home (the crazy) but about an hour later my dad called to let me know that they'd talked her into going to the hospital and they would be picking me up from the airport. I love my parents but I would much rather ride for an hour with my sister in the car. *sigh*

At least it looks like I'll get to see my nephew on this trip after all.
