We've hit a weird point in Azucena's growth--lots of exhibitionism and also lots of things up the nose (I keep crossing my fingers that nothing will get stuck up there, but we'll see). The first set is while eating breakfast, the second, while watching "Little Einsteins."

Thunderstorm
Because I spent almost six years in the midwest, I love a good thunderstorm. The smell of wet earth, the rumble of the sky, the pitter patter of raindrops splashing down. I'm so happy that we got a good storm earlier so that Azucena could enjoy the storm from the safety of our deck. Love it.

Adelaide's Trip to Colorado
Adelaide began her trip to Colorado by hiking up the Zapata Falls and promptly being lulled to sleep in her backpack carrier. Upon returning to the house, she had to enjoy a little time on the grass patch out front.
While everyone was helping make Grandma's front lawn look pretty, another nap was taken.
When the cousins came to town, much time was spent with Abbigale.
Certain risks and more naps were taken.
Lots of sitting on people's laps.
Looking back on these pictures, I think that Adelaide has more pink outfits than Azucena ever had. (I guess that's what happens when you're the second child and you a) inherit everything and b) only get a few new items of clothing (because the probability is higher that you'll get pink).)

Graduation
HAPPY 700TH POST!
Saturday morning our family headed out to the high school for the last high school graduation of our generation.
I love that I got a shot of him with the state flag. :D
The proud parents.
I love that Gwen has taken the time to come to all our graduations. Love you, Gwen!
Classic brothers--either someone is making a face, or doing something else stupid. That "L" is for "loser" although I have no idea why. ::facepalm::

30th Anniversary Concert
This year is my parents' 30th anniversary! (Pearl, for anyone who is curious.) My dad has a trip to Peru planned for both of them (plus Edgar, as a sort of graduation gift) but also decided back at Christmas that he wanted to throw a concert for her. This put a lot of pressure on all of us, because we had to learn a bunch of music! Dad got a guy from his school to do all the keyboard stuff; he took care of mandolin, double bass, and bass guitar; Edgar took care of the rhythmic stuff; Clark did some guitar/bass/singing; and Nicoel and I got to do back-up vocals while also playing the violin and clarinet, respectively. WHEW!
Some of our practice shots:
The concert was pretty awesome! It was pretty hard to be sneaky and leave the house to rehearse, but as soon as the concert actually started, Mom forgave all of us. :D
