I know I'm super behind on posting (it's only been a week but I have a couple of drafts that I really need to finish up and post, plus get another pregnant picture up for Mom) but I just had to share this happy news:
Clark and I finished the Book of Mormon together for the first time! Our singles ward bishop challenged us to find ways to be spiritual together and we decided we'd read every night. We started July 1st of last year (a couple of weeks after we got engaged) and read the last bit on Thursday, February 24th. We just started reading the Book of Mormon again for our scripture reading--this time in Spanish. :)
I'm so excited!

Can't Take Him Anywhere
Our stake threw a dance this past Saturday. It was pretty cool--we got to eat some good food (including the chocolate brownie bite thingies that I wanted served at my wedding reception), a photo booth and, best of all, a live band.
However, that meant that Clark spent most of the night admiring the instruments and equipment. :)
And here's an example of how he acts in public:

BYU is an odd sort of place
In case you've been under a rock while living in Happy Valley (or you don't know anyone that follows BYU Basketball) here are some things you've missed this week:
Video
The magic word.
Another video.
And a BYU news article.
And the cherry on top: at last night's Divine Comedy showing, the opening prayer (nearly*) ended with "and we thank Thee for Jimmer."
::sigh:: Only at BYU. Some people are funny. :)
*and by nearly, I mean they ended the prayer appropriately, this is just the last thing that was said before closing.

Maternity Clothes
Pros:
the pants don't have buttons or zippers
Cons:
Because it's an elastic waist, the pants fall off easier

Doctor Update #4
Another quick appointment (although the wait was long). Looks like I've gained nine pounds over the last two months which is pretty much right on track. Also, the heartbeat is still going strong and at the right frequency. Oh, and they started measuring me and I'm at 22 cm which is also supposedly exactly where I should be (since the cms should correspond to how many weeks along I am).
My only concern this time was that I had fallen on a slick patch of ice last week (right before I started to feel her move) and just wanted to know when I should be calling the doctor about worries. She let me know that as long as I don't bleed or spot and, now that I've felt her move, that she's still doing a little movement, I should be fine and that winter will be over soon so ice shouldn't be an issue for much longer.
So, let's finish up, winter!

Dear life
Dear today,
You are like yesterday for Bill Murray. There is no way that the hot water AND the electricity should go out in the same 24 hour period. Unless, you know, there's a blizzard. Which there isn't right now. I'm just saying . . .
Love,
Natalia

Har de har har
Today during lunch break, I let Clark know that it's getting harder for me to roll over (from side to side) in bed. My ever-so-sympathetic husband started laughing and couldn't stop for a full minute.
I can't wait until I've had 30 years to fatten HIM up and see who has the last laugh. :D
