I've seen this once before and didn't participate and now I have the chance again!
Here are the tagging instructions: The first 3 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. No guarantees that you will like what I make.
2. However, what I create will be just for you.
3. It'll probably take a while because:
a. I'm not super creative and it'll probably take me a while to think of something to make;
b. I'm taking care of a 4-month-old; and
c. I'm poor. :D
4. You have no clue what it's going to be.
5. I reserve the right to do something unusual.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. Or, since I know there are some people who read my blog who don't have a blog of their own, you can win if you are willing to make something for three random people. The first 3 people to leave a comment telling me they will win it forward get a fabulous homemade gift by me! Oh, and if you have a blog, be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it.

I finally checked it out and love it! It's much easier than e-mailing links to myself all the time. Although I do sometimes get frustrated when something has been repinned a dozen times and no one has bothered to include the link so I can have the instructions/recipe that I need. But isn't that the way of the world nowadays?

Porter's Place
Clark's religion professor taught an entire lesson about Orrin Porter Rockwell and mentioned that there was a steakhouse in Lehi based on him. Feeling the need to take my parents somewhere uber-Mormon while they visited this weekend, we asked if they would mind eating some good food in an awesome ambience. They had no problems. :D

First Solids!
Azucena ate her first (official) solids today! We went to Maceys on Wednesday night and bought rice cereal, baby applesauce, and baby squash to try feeding her. We started out by feeding her plain rice cereal and she LOVED it. She kept reaching her hand out and trying to grab the spoon/Daddy's hand so she could eat the yumminess even faster!
(And a shout-out to my cousin Dyann for giving us the high chair. It's perfect!)

Cousins!
Well, second cousins, to be exact. Molly is my father's brother's daughter, so our children are second cousins! I love that I have so much family fairly close, and that Azucena can meet so many of her relatives! Thanks for visiting us, Molly!
Azucena is just so big compared to Miley!

And one more, because I can't help myself:

Four Months Old
Dearest Azucena,
I can't believe you're already four months old! It was only a few days ago that I finally started saying you were 3 1/2. Now I have to learn something completely new!
You're finally getting your baby chunk on. :D Not much, mind you, but you don't look like a skinny, little, wisp-of-a-thing anymore, either. I'm so happy your cheeks are filling out and your thighs are getting little rolls on them!
This past month you:
*started to laugh! (September 23rd) And I mean the kind we can replicate, not the happy sounds you made and I wondered whether or not it was your first laugh. Now, especially in the mornings, I can get to you giggle like crazy by tickling you, threatening to chomp your tummy, or throwing toys in your face repeatedly.
*Thursday (October 6th): You rolled from your tummy to your back all by yourself! And, boy, was that scary! I was on the phone with your aunt Nicoel and was telling her about how you had always come to the point of rolling but never quite made it, and then you did right in front of me! Since you hadn't really been showing an interest, you'd been on the couch. We're not going to do that anymore!
*started grabbing your pacifier with your hands and fingers. Oh, boy! You love pulling the pacifier out, talking to it (sometimes yelling!) and then trying to put it back in the right way. You do it perfectly about half the time. However, that never stops you from chomping on whatever part of the pacifier ends up in your mouth!
*started to sit up on your own. You're not super great (you've only really started to do this this week) but you're getting a little stronger and more steady each day.
On a side note, you've tasted pudding, peaches, grapes and potato soup. (Not much, just the barest drop!) You've loved peaches best!
Your father and I love you so much and we're so happy with all that you've learned so far! We love watching you respond to our voices (and sometimes your name), helping you dance while we sing or listen to music, and explore everything we can put in arms reach.
Love, Mommy
P.S. Since it's just barely your birthday, I haven't taken your four-month-old picture, yet. The closest one in this batch is at the very bottom and it was taken two days ago. I'll post the birthday shot with your doctor update next week!
There's your smile!

You love eating your blankets.

This is you, sitting on Grandma's counter!

I didn't pose you, you did that thing with your hands all on your own! (Also, you weren't wearing your bow. That's the only thing that would make this picture more perfect!)
