Christmas 2018

We spent a quiet, snowy Christmas morning at home! Azucena was thrilled to see that cookies and carrots had been eaten overnight. We received geeky clothing, new books, fun pajamas, and Disneyland tickets!

Christmas Dance Program

The girls had a short program just before Christmas. They love dancing with their friends and they love their teacher, Miss Kristi.

Chubbuck Days Parade

Our town throws a party every year for its anniversary. Our parade is full of local businesses because it's such a small town. But DANG do they throw a lot of candy! We held the kids back quite a bit and still ended up with eight pounds! Yeesh! We do love living here, though. :)

Clark's 5K Race

Clark has been participating in a local 5K series all summer. Because the races are early and the children usually are just waking up when he runs, we've missed the first three events. BUT, we woke up early Saturday morning so we could cheer Dad on as he crossed the finish line! The girls are so sweet; they yelled and screamed "go Daddy!" and "you can do it, Daddy!" the whole time. Well done, Clark!

Azucena's 7th Birthday

Azucena's seventh birthday was pretty special. She loved getting mail from all her grandparents, she loved her new clothes and books from us, and she loved having friends over for a pizza party on Saturday. She'd been telling us for months she wanted to spend her birthday with all her friends and just play and have fun and that's exactly what they did. Azucena has a big heart and claims everyone as her best friend (with qualifiers: Kindergarten best friend, neighbor best friend, etc.). We love you so much, baby girl!

Last Hike

Our last day in Cedar City was spent going on a hike to the Hidden Haven. It was a shorter hike (hooray) and ended at a waterfall which the kids loved. Actually, all Austin wanted to do was throw rocks, so he was just grateful we finally stopped and let him for 30 minutes. :D Thanks, Mom and Dad, for hosting us and showing us some really pretty places.

Jordan River Temple Open House

The Jordan River temple has been closed for renovations and is currently hosting an open house! We headed down so the kids could see the temple that Clark grew up with. It's beautiful and it was so nice to spend time with family. We did have to laugh at our "official" family photo, though. Something was lost in translation. :D

Aurora's 3rd Birthday

Aurora is three now! These pictures sum her up well: cheesy smiles, lots of energy, and crazy hair. :D

Disneyland

Considering all the (terrible, horrible, no-good) adventures we had on our last trip, I'm shocked we have so many nice character pictures! Mostly of the good folks at Winnie the Pooh. Bless them. They made this trip worthwhile to the girls. And Austin was only a little scared of the giant stuffed animals. :D
