Zapata Falls - the Eagle Project

One of the first things we did when we went out to Colorado was see what Edgar did for his Eagle Project. So we packed up the van on Monday and headed up to Zapata Falls. It was a great day for a short hike.

Edgar's project had two parts: the first, to block off illegal trailways that were damaging the environment and the second, to add some rope guides to the trail through the river to make it easier for visitors to reach the foot of the falls.

On our way back, Azucena decided she loved Edgar. Mostly because he put her up on his shoulders and ran around like a crazy person. I mean, look at her face!
