Much to my sadness, we didn't host a birthday party for Azucena this year. (If we had, the theme would've been bumblebees and ladybugs.) Instead, we had a small family outing (with Grandma) to the Hogle Zoo. Azucena loved seeing all the animals again and Adelaide liked being outside.
Azucena carried this strawberry in her hand for the first 20 minutes of our visit. She kept acting like she was about to eat it, then she'd change her mind.
Told you so.
She's looking at the monkeys here. See the strawberry?
As soon as Azucena saw the eagles, she got very excited and starting going "eeee! eeee!" (the sound she says they make). Also, the zoo has lego versions of their animals this summer so it was pretty fun to see the sculptures all over.
Two of my little monkeys!
After the zoo, we took Azucena to get her first Kid's Meal. She loved having chicken nuggets and fries. Adelaide ate the wrapper from my burger. Poor second child!
That evening, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to open a couple of presents. She loved pulling out the tissue paper!
